Monuments and Religious Buildings that have been established and have along time span of existence and a its seen that they are a fine example of Architecture, Sculpturing, Carvings that can not be seen nor practiced in todays date, such beauty can not be afforded to loose, it has to be conserved in one way or the other.

One of the way is by digitally conserving it. Scanning comes in to play its role in to find out and exclude the exact as built plans and details that can then further help out for the conservation of the monuments, the perfect data and design including almost all the curving’s and details that help in creating the documentation of it.

Criteria :-

• Architecture:-

Creating an architectural representative documents having high level of details such as its architecture, sculptures carvings data with high Precisions. This helps in getting informative digitized data that can help in the conservation of the monuments that helps in gaining improvisions to conserve it for a longer period.

• Sculptures:-

Sculptures are a marvellous example of art, its carvings are made with so much delicacy and detailing, such Sculptures need to be conserved for the longer time of its existence. So the 3D model is created with high level of details of all the elements and the carvings of the sculpture.

Scan to BIM is where the 3D BIM models are created by the scan provided in form of a point cloud. The Scan is a form of point cloud of the model of a building or object on to which it is worked on to create its 3D BIM model with high precision and quality with details/p>

Laser Scanning

The building or Object is scanned by a device that generates its point cloud 3d model with high quality and precision up to 0.2 mm.

A 3D Point Cloud is generated that will be having all the details as per the original condition of the Building,
Monument, Sculpture.

3D BIM Model

The 3D Point Cloud Scan data will be imported to 3D BIM Software e.g. Revit.

Then it will be modelled as per the Scan data with high precision and accuracy that is being reflected in the original
existing building, monument or Sculpture. It will consist of all the elements that visible by eye sight.

Texturing

On the model that is generated by the 3D Scan data, Texturing is applied on the Elements and Surfaces of the Monument, Building or Sculpture with reference to the existing.

This will be done in a different software e.g. 3D Max

This will help in restoring the monument and sculpture for keeping up its beauty for a long period of time as there are a
handful of examples of them left.

This helps in attracting tourists with the 3D virtual model for their exploration through the world wide web, where the
monument itself could be shown and experienced to people far from it.
